Turkey Time

I decided I needed to do an update before the year is over. First off Caleb is doing well and back to his old self. The only difference is the medication routine everyday. And some other good new is Lance got his cast off. He still has a bump on his arm but it is healing well and only 2 more weeks with a brace. The doctor said he only needed to wear it when he was running or might fall. He doesn't know Lance very well so I told Lance he needed to wear it all the time. At least he can now wash him arm.
Lindsay and Ryan stayed with us the weekend before Thanksgiving to go to the temple. The girls have so much fun together and it is fun that both sets are so close in age. After they got home we headed up to Prescott for the weekend for a pre- Thanksgiving with the Lowry family. It was alot of fun with a lot of people. My boys love going to Prescott to play in the woods. And play they did. They played frisbee, rode a big wheel down the very steep driveway and explored the woods. Thankfully no one got hurt.

After our weekend gone our kids had to catch up with the neighborhood kids. Practically the whole week of thanksgiving the played outside. They really didn't have much homework so that gave even more time to play. Again I will say we really enjoy our neighbors and that our kids have so many friends to play with.
Thanksgiving was John's birthday. He went to play Turkey Bowl with some guys from church. No injuries to report, Yeah!! After that he went to the park to fly his remote control airplane. Well it died and went into the lake. There were no fishermen around so in he went to save the silly plane. The people at the park got quite a laugh. Thanksgiving dinner was at my parents house. The food was wonderful and we always have fun with all the family together.

John and I kind of started a tradition to go shopping on Black Friday without kids. We get a babysitter and go all day. We didn't go until 6:30 but we still got the deals we wanted and were tired at the end of the day. It has been a busy couple of weeks but we are excited for Christmas and have started getting the decorations up.

Caleb is Home!

Caleb is home from Phoenix Childrens Hospital. We came home on Friday night. On Wednesday some blood work came back telling us that Caleb has Valley Fever. For those who don't know what it is, it is a fungus that is found in desert/dusty areas. It is inhaled and for most people they don't even know they have it or they get flu like symptoms. Caleb's body just did not handle it well. The doctors think he has been dealing with this for a couple of months. He is going to be on medicines for at least 3 months. They did a bone scan and a spinal tap to see if it had reached any other body systems. The Dermatology group said there has not been a documentated case where the skin reacted the way Caleb's did on a child. So they might write an article about him and the lead demertologist is rewriting his text book and they might put Caleb's case in it. So we e-mailed the pictures we took and they took many pictures of his feet and hands. Who knew Caleb would be so strange. We are so happy he is going to be fine. He is kind of tired and still a little sore. But seeing friends has helped him forget.

Crazy Weekend

To start off the weekend I went scrapbooking at Amie's house. She is a new/old friend. I knew her at the Glendale institute but haven't seen her in 11 years. I was invited to scrapbook with Toni and Natalie and they go to church with Amie. So anyways it was so fun but I got home very late and got little sleep. But it was so worth it I got many pages done.

Saturday was Lance's baptism. We also blessed Briauna. It was so nice. We never not blessed our kids at church on Sunday. It was nice and John loved it. The baptism was great even with Lance's arm looking like a mummy all shrink wrapped to protect his cast. Many friends and family came and helped.
Sunday morning Caleb woke up with swollen, red feet. He had sores on his feet on Saturday and they were very painful and he had a difficult time walking. When he woke up Sunday we decided to take him in to the ER. He is still in the hospital and they can't figure out what it is. I am so tired of hospitals but I am grateful they are around. Hopefully they will be home soon.

Fun at the park

We went to the park last week and I thought these pictures turned out so cute I just had to share.

Halloween Fun

I decided to be a good mom and get pumpkins to carve for Halloween. We did it with our neighbors which made it so much fun. We ended up with a ton of neighborhood kids in our front yard helping. I love my neighborhood and neighbors. It sure makes life a lot of fun when you enjoy who you live around.

On Halloween the kids school had pajama day. They spent the whole day reading and doing games that had to do with reading. Here are the wonderful clothes they chose to wear. They thought it was great that the did not have to get dressed.
