Stampede Football 2011

It's football again and this year we have three of the kids participating. Lance is 12 and on the PeeWee team. He has played with many of these kids for 3 years. Their first game was Saturday. They did great in their game and won.

Lance chose to be #44 this year.

Jenna is our little cheerleader. She has been begging for the last 2 years to cheer and now she can. She cheers for Caleb's team.

Caleb is also playing. He is 10 and a Cadet. He played with most of these noys last year. They did well with their game but lost against a tough team.

Caleb is #8 again this year.

North Carolina 2011: Part 4

I took so many picture and this one I love. The ocean was a little rough because of the hurricane off the coast. but it is still beautiful. This was taken off the back porch.

The Outer Banks has wild horses all over the place. They are protected so you can't feed them and you have to stay 50 feet away. It was pretty neat to see them all over is yards and on the beach.

We had fun trying to take a picture.

The kids looked good in their picture

The last couple of day we weren't able to play in the ocean because the under current was too strong so we went foa walk instead. Of course several kids got really wet.

This was the media room that my kids too over. They loved it.

This is the entrance in the house. If you went up it was the main living area. If you went down you were in the media room. Off to the left was a mini living room adn the stair to our room.

This was where we slept.

The kitchen area

The sunrise the moring we left.

Drining back to Norlfok. This picture was in the town of Duck.

This the bridge that we had to cross to get to the Outer Banks. I am not a fan of bridges but I did fine.

These are some picture on the way to the airport. It was dark when we got there so it was neat to see it all in daylight.

Norfolk Airport was small but very nice. This is the cart we used to get our luggage to the terminal.

Again I am sure we look like crazy people with a lot of kids.

Waiting to leave

Looking out at Norfolk area

Caleb and Garrett sat with this older man. Caleb talked his ear off most of the flight. He was a retired coast guard. They had fun on the ride.

Lance was doing homework and Briauna was having fun.

It was a great trip and one we will always remember.

North Carolina 2011: Part 3

On Wednesday of the trip we went to Kitty Hawk to go to the Wright Brothers Museum. I had no idea that this was were the first flight took place. Before we left I wanted to attempt some pictures to update my wall. Garrett 14

Lance 12
Caleb 10

Jenna 6 1/2

Briauna 4

This is a picture of us driving on the beach to get to town. It still seems wierd to drive on the beach.

This picture was taken right at the entrance to the beach.

This is the monument at the top of the hill.

We first went into the museum and looked aroung and then went out side to see the markers of the flight.

This is a replica of their living quarters. Garrett of course thought this was so cool. He loves history.Seeing all of the information about the Wright Brother made me really admire them. I am sure many made fun of them adn thought they were crazy. But look at where we are now because they showed that flight was possible.

This is part of the rail that the wheel was on.

These are the markers of the flights.

We decided to walk to the monument. It was quite a walk and was very windy at the top.

A family picture at the top.

The kids

Garrett was being silly and wanted a picture with the statues.

The view

Ths was behind the hill and I thought it was pretty neat.

I am such a tourist. I loved to take picture of the area. These are of the drive back toward Corolla, the town we stayed in.
