The Science Center

Saturday we took the kids, minus Garrett to the Science Center downtown. I was able to get culture passes and was excited to go. The boys had a bad attitude about going. They haven't ever gone so they had no idea what it was like. I kept telling them it would be fun but you know moms don't know anything. Lance kept saying he didn't want to learn about science. Once we got there their whole attitude changed. Amazing isn't it, moms actually do know what they are talking about. They had so much fun. The third floor was the favorite. They love Forces of Nature and the Digital World room. When it was time to go they didn't want to leave. It was nice of Lance at he end to apologize for not wanting to go and thanking me for taking him. It was a great day and we only lost Briauna once. She is so fast. I turned around to put something in the diaper bag and when I turned back around she was gone. Luckily a nice mom picked her up and was taking her to security. That little stinker went up the stairs to the 2nd level. After a slight heart attack the rest of the day went without any hiccups and we had a great time. I am getting her a leash.

This was a mind game, you had to be more relaxed to win. Lance won twice and Caleb won once.

This room was all about electricity and magnetics.

This area was about the weather. This was where Forces of Nature was located.

The Digital World was so fun.

Easter Weekend

Saturday we went to an Easter egg hunt in our neighborhood. It was fun and did not get rained on. Briauna loved getting the eggs. I had a hard time holding her back until it was time to start. They had a bouncy, petting zoo and other activities.

Sunday after church we had John's brother and his wife over for dinner. They brought kites for the boys which they loved. Garrett have been watching the weather everyday since to see if it will be windy enough to fly them again. It was a good weekend but strange with my parents being gone. We missed them and look forward to seeing them when they return.

Can you guess the color of the cast?

I bet you guessed right.... it's PINK!!

Another Broken Bone

Well the victim this time is Jenna. She would be the last one in our family that I thought would break her arm but I was wrong. It happened yesterday at 4:30pm. In her own words she said, " I was on the step of the playhouse and jumped down and ran to get on the trampoline. I fell and my arm landed on the trampoline and my body landed on my arm." I was in the house and she was outside with 2 of her friends. At first I didn't recognize the cry. She was sweaty and pail with a nice bump on the side of her arm. So off to the hospital we went. I was there from 5:45pm to 11:30pm and John came to relieve me and he got home around 1:00am. I was a long night but she did great. They had to sedate her to set it so that was part of the reason for the long visit but also the hospital was packed. I guess she is now part of the club. I was funny to see her talk to her brother about it, she fit right in.

She loves shoes!!

Meet Alina

I have been busy looking on Craigslist for a dog since we found Jasmine's owners. The kids really wanted another dog and Maggie has been so lonely. It was a long a frustrating process. People must sit on there all day looking for pets. It is CRAZY!! Monday I saw a posting for a man that wanted to rehome 2 dogs, a boy and a girl. We really wanted a girl and definitely did not want 2. We called the guy and he was pretty insistent on them both going so we called my parents to see if they wanted the boy. They had a poodle for 19yrs and my dad loved him. Well they said yes so we got the dogs. My dad loves the dog, it is so funny. His name is Bear and he is a poodle. My dad even took the day off of work to make sure Bear would be more adjusted. Our dog is Alina. She is 1/2 poodle and 1/2 Cockerspaniel. They are both so cute and very good. They were house trained and obey commands. They were well taken care of. The man even called to check and see how they were. So far things are going great. The kids and Maggie like her a lot.

Prescott Weekend

We went to Prescott this past weekend the visit John's Arizona family, the Lowrys. We always love going there. They live in the mountains so it is quiet and peaceful. The boys love hiking and exploring the mountains. Lance even told Barbara to keep the house until he is old enough to buy it from her. We went up Friday night and came home Sunday. It was a lot of fun and quite a bit cooler than Phoenix.

Jenna loves playing with Haley. The have great imaginations. They needed to warm up their body with the fire.

Now they were pretending to water plants.

Briauna and Katelyn will have fun as they get older but now they play near each other.

Briauna learned to do this on our visit. She thought it was great.
