She Climbs

With the help of a brother's encouragement she climbed the stairs all by herself. Luckily she hasn't found them and tried on her own. I know it won't be long before we will have to really watch her. She was so happy but tired when she got to the top.

Happy Birthday Lance

Lance is 9yrs old

Today Lance turned 9 yrs old. It is hard to believe how fast the years go by. I feel like it was just yesterday that he was born. He is such a good boy. He is a bit shy and doesn't like to do things in front of a crowd. He is very good at just about anything he does even though it takes me a while to get him to try something new. He has a great smile. When he was 2yrs he did not talk much but you sure new when he was happy because his face showed it all. He love his little sisters and help a lot with them. He is competitive and enjoys when he does well and something. We are so happy he is our son and look forward to the many years ahead we get to watch him to grow up and see what a great person he will be.

July is a busy month for us with birthdays so we are only having one big combined family birthday. Because of that we told the boys they could choose to do something around their birthday and choose a few friends to have come along. Lance couldn't decided on just 3 or 4 friends so we decided to have a swim party at his grandparents house. So we had 7 boys come to the party. They swam, jumped on the trampoline, ate pizza and watched a movie on grandpa's BIG t.v. They had a lot of fun and weren't ready for it to be over 4 hours later. We had many water fights in the pool and various noise that came from them while riding in the car. It was great. There is nothing like a car full of boys. It was a great but tiring day and Lance had fun so I was very happy.

July 4th

This year was a little different then most. We usually celebrate with my family and/or the Lowry family. My parents and sister were in Utah for a family reunion. We were supposed to go but John was not able to get the whole week off for us to go. I did not want to go up for just a few days so we decided to stay home. My brother also could not go so he invited us to party at their house. We hung out most of the day until we left around 4pm. There was a lot of food a people to chat with. It was fun and were were so glad to be able to hang out over there. The boys always enjoy seeing their cousin Kyle and Jenna enjoyed playing with my brother's niece on his in-laws side. We stayed pretty late and did not see fireworks since we saw some the night before. The boys had a swim meet on Thursday and one of the places that did fireworks on Thursday was a couple of blocks away. So we hung out for about a half hour after the swim meet with some of the other swim team families and watched the fireworks show. It was fun and the kids ran around like crazy little monsters. It ended just in time. A big storm came and we got poured on at our house. It has been a fun weekend and now the first of our July birthdays start in a few days.

BORED!!

Lately that is the word I am hearing a lot. Yesterday the boys had a dive meet. Lance was is a grouchy mood and kept saying that he was bored and wanted to go home. Come to find out he was only nervous about his dives and did not want to be there. He of course did great as did Garrett and Caleb. They all got first place for their division. Anyways back to the story, since yesterday all of the kids have been informing me how bored they are. Tonight I was telling them to go to bed and Jenna told me " Mom, I'm bored remember, I want you to read me a story." Anyways I thought it was funny.

A New Stage

We have reached the baby proofing stage with Briauna. Within the last month she has sat up by her self, crawled and pulled her self up. It is fun but has made my life busier. She sees so many tiny things and then they go into her mouth. She is getting fast and gets into many things. Her crawl is not the traditional crawl. She kind of uses one knee and pushes with the opposite foot. It is pretty funny to watch. Her crib is still in our room because Jenna loved to help her stop crying by climbing in the crib. I wanted to wait until Briauna could sit up on her own before moving her into Jenna's room. Well it is now time. When she wakes up she sees us and screams louder so we will get her. It is fun to see her discover new things and get excited when she makes it to the object she is after.

Swim and Dive

The boys are doing swim and dive team again this year. I love that it gives them something to do for 2 hrs in the morning Monday through Thursday. It is great exercise and and they have learned so much over the years. Because of these teams we are very busy. We have meets every Tuesday and Thursday nights. The boys always moan and groan at the beginning but they really do enjoy it. It just takes a few weeks to get used to swimming so much. Here are a few pictures at their meets.

The Tooth

We are house/pool sitting for our neighbors this summer. We went over on Saturday to make sure everything was good and went swimming. Well Garrett thought he should keep with the family tradition by breaking his front tooth on the bottom of the pool. When it happened he jumped out of the pool and ran into the house. I did not know what was going on until he can out crying and showed us. Needless to say I was pretty mad. The great guy John is reassured Garrett that it would be fine and showed him his front tooth that he broke as a kid. Garrett was really upset and was so afraid that he would get a silver tooth. We then told him of the many family members that we have that did the same thing. he kept saying that he looked like a freaking vampire. By Sunday he was fine and showed everyone what happened. Monday we took him in and it only took 1 1/2 hrs and it looks as if nothing happened at all.
