Another Broken Bone
Well the victim this time is Jenna. She would be the last one in our family that I thought would break her arm but I was wrong. It happened yesterday at 4:30pm. In her own words she said, " I was on the step of the playhouse and jumped down and ran to get on the trampoline. I fell and my arm landed on the trampoline and my body landed on my arm." I was in the house and she was outside with 2 of her friends. At first I didn't recognize the cry. She was sweaty and pail with a nice bump on the side of her arm. So off to the hospital we went. I was there from 5:45pm to 11:30pm and John came to relieve me and he got home around 1:00am. I was a long night but she did great. They had to sedate her to set it so that was part of the reason for the long visit but also the hospital was packed. I guess she is now part of the club. I was funny to see her talk to her brother about it, she fit right in.

Meet Alina
I have been busy looking on Craigslist for a dog since we found Jasmine's owners. The kids really wanted another dog and Maggie has been so lonely. It was a long a frustrating process. People must sit on there all day looking for pets. It is CRAZY!! Monday I saw a posting for a man that wanted to rehome 2 dogs, a boy and a girl. We really wanted a girl and definitely did not want 2. We called the guy and he was pretty insistent on them both going so we called my parents to see if they wanted the boy. They had a poodle for 19yrs and my dad loved him. Well they said yes so we got the dogs. My dad loves the dog, it is so funny. His name is Bear and he is a poodle. My dad even took the day off of work to make sure Bear would be more adjusted. Our dog is Alina. She is 1/2 poodle and 1/2 Cockerspaniel. They are both so cute and very good. They were house trained and obey commands. They were well taken care of. The man even called to check and see how they were. So far things are going great. The kids and Maggie like her a lot.
Prescott Weekend
We went to Prescott this past weekend the visit John's Arizona family, the Lowrys. We always love going there. They live in the mountains so it is quiet and peaceful. The boys love hiking and exploring the mountains. Lance even told Barbara to keep the house until he is old enough to buy it from her. We went up Friday night and came home Sunday. It was a lot of fun and quite a bit cooler than Phoenix.

Jenna loves playing with Haley. The have great imaginations. They needed to warm up their body with the fire.

Now they were pretending to water plants.

Briauna and Katelyn will have fun as they get older but now they play near each other.

Now they were pretending to water plants.
Briauna learned to do this on our visit. She thought it was great.

Mommy and Daddy School
This morning I decided to work on some homework for the week. Jenna' s friend Raelyn came over to play which was great. They wanted me to do something for them and I had told them to wait until I was done answering a question on my homework. Raelyn made a funny face and looked at Jenna and said, " She does school." Jenna said very excitedly, " Yes, she goes to mommy and daddy school." I thought it was cute.

Thunder in the Desert
Saturday our family got to go to Luke Days. John and I have been to several air show growing up with both of our dad's being in the military. We thought the kids would enjoy it. It was fun and quite warm. We had to walk a long way and there was a ton of people but it was worth it. Garrett loves the military so he really enjoyed it.

The United States Air Force Thunderbirds was the last performance. It was great. You really feel a sense of pride being able to live in this great country when you see these men perform. The music that goes with it sets a great patriotic mood. It was fun and the kids loved the planes. We will go again next year.
John took Garrett and Jenna up close so Garrett could get a good look at the Thunderbirds.
This is the scene during the show.
