Thanksgiving weekend/ Pigskin Football Tournament

This Thanksgiving was a little different than most. In October Lance was picked to be on a football team to play in a tournament in Las Vegas. They pick 11 boys from Lance's team and 1 from the next older team to create a team. We thought it would be a great opportunity for him to go. Then Caleb's coach wanted to take a team as well so they took smaller boys from Lance's team and some from Caleb's team and formed a team. We thought this year would be weird without mom so we were ok with being gone over the holiday. So off we went on Wednesday November 24th at 6am. We had to be at weigh in at noon.
These are just some pictures on the way up.
Almost to the bridge to go over the dam. I was totally freaking out. I don't do bridges or heights.
It turned out to not be bad. You can't see anything. Thank goodness.

Jenna and Briauna

We are almost there.

Our first game was on Thanksgiving at 10am and it was Caleb's team. It was freezing. The high was 48 and it was windy. I got these pictures before the girls got too cold and sat under the blanket the whole time.

The boys were so cold. Many were crying because their hands were freezing.

Jenna was under the blanket.

After the game we went to a buffet for Thanksgiving dinner with a bunch of the team. It was a blast. The boys had all kinds of food and most was not traditional Thanksgiving. This is Lance, Liam, and Alexander.

This picture has Alexander, Tanner, Lance, Liam, Nick, Caleb, Jake, and Chris.

The boys were very crazy and had fun.

Elijah, Caleb, Chris, and Tanner played on the same team.

After dinner the kids wanted to go bowling. The hotel we ate at had a bowling alley in the basement. It was so nice and the kids had a blast. Briauna loved it and got mad when I took her place a couple of time

Lance did well and didn't use the guard rails.

Caleb also had fun.

There were a couple kids Garrett's age so he had fun.

Some of the dads played as well.

Jenna and Emma had so much fun together. Emma was helping teach Jenna to bowl.

After bowling we decided to go to Fremont street. There was probably 20 of us. It was great but very cold.

Jenna and Emma

The kids all had a lot of fun.

They had the laser show every hour on the roof. It was very neat.

John and Steph

All the kids.

Our family

Chris loved Briauna. He played with her any chance he could.

We were there about an hour and a half. We stayed to see the laser show honoring Queen. The girls were fading.

The kids loved it and danced to the music.

Friday Caleb's team was off but Lance played. It wasn't as cold and it was a great game against a Kaysville Utah team.

Jenna was still cold.

Lance was #44. He volunteered to use his old number because another kid had #45. Saturday both boys played. It was a busy day and poor Jenna was sick.

Lance's team got 2nd place.

Lance and his coaches.

Caleb's team had a harder time. The kids they played were quite a bit bigger.

Caleb's team got 3rd.

The boys had fun.

Saturday our games got over pretty early so we headed to Circus Circus to play in the adventure dome and then we headed to the strip.

We were with a lot of people again which was great.

Zack and Garrett

Caleb and Alexander went on the bumper cars.

Walking down the strip was ok. Luchily no one tried to give us anything and the kids liked the lights.

Playing in Caesears Palace.

The whole gang.

The kids were getting tired.

They loved the fish tank.
Briauna loves coach Angela the cheer coach. She taught the girls some cheers and now they love her.

The fountains at the Bellagio.

Briauna loved the escilators.

We left Sunday morning. It was a great trip. If you ask the kids the things they remembered they would say: the homeless man the saw on the strip singing a song about farting and the other homeless man the saw on the strip sleeping on an elevator. Jenna was so happy to be in Arizona because Arizona doesn't stink like Las Vegas. She didn't like all the smoke in the buldings. It was so fun and I hope we get to do this trip again.
