She loves to dance

Caleb got a card that sang and Briauna loved it. She has been dancing to it ever since.

The Game

Yesterday Lance had a scrimmage game against Buckeye. I wasn't able to go but John took some pictures for me. His first official game is next week. He is always a little nervous so I hope he will get more confident in himself the more games he plays.

Caleb's Baptism

Tonight Caleb was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. We are so excited for him and the choice he made. It was a really nice baptism with many family and friends who came to support him and our family. Afterward we came back to our house for dinner. It was fun visiting with everyone. We are so grateful for the gospel and the joy it brings to our life. We know Caleb will be blessed in his life for making this decision. It is crazy that this is our 3rd child to be baptized. I made a video of him growing up and it was so neat to watch. He is such a fun and silly boy and we love him so much.

Caleb and John before the baptism.

You have to have a silly picture.

Sunless Tanner

Last night I got a call from my neighbor and friend regarding our daughters. The first thing she said was,"please don't hate me." I said ok. She then proceeded to tell me that when the girls were playing upstairs at her house they made a huge mess in her bathroom. They got into her make up, spilled a drink and did hair with what they thought was hair spray. After a little investigation she found out they were using sunless tanner for hairspray. She panicked and called me. I had already washed Jenna's hair and didn't see anything strange. I did end up washing twice because it was still stiff. The only thing we think that saved us was that the tanner was really old. Thank goodness. I would of been really sad. Lesson to be learned is when they are too quiet we need to find out why.

The Patient

Today John went into the GI doctor to get a procedure done. He has had the problem for years with food getting stuck in his esophagus. We call it choking but he can still breath. It is very uncomfortable and a big pain in the neck. He went to this GI doctor about 5 yrs ago and they did a esophagus dilation and it helped great. They say it is cause by his reflux and gradually get worse over time. His choking has really gotten bad over the last year so we decided to just go ahead and take care of it.

He went in at 9am and we left at 11am or so. He did great but is very sleepy. The doctor gave him some more medicine to control the reflux and told him to not wait so long next time. Sometime he is so stubborn and waits to long to take care of problems. But we are happy that he is healthy and now can eat.

I want to play football!!

Tonight Lance came home from football practice with his pad for the first time. It was so funny how excited all of the kids got. Briauna got so excited when Lance tried them on. She giggled, laughed, and kept coming up to him for a close up look. Jenna and Briauna wanted to try them on as well. Then we let Briauna try them on and this is the result. Pretty cute if you ask me.

She reminds me of Linus from Charlie Brown and can't do anything without her blankie.

Pizza, Pizza

Today I was able to take the girls to Peter Piper Pizza for a tour with some moms from church. It was pretty fun and the girls enjoyed. They took them through the kitchen and showed the process of making the pizza. The best part was they got pizza, a drink and tokens. It was a fun activity.
She looks happy now but the next time around she was crying and terrified. I had to hold her hand and walk around it.

Jenna and Cami are waiting to make pizza.

They had fun deciding what to put on their pizza.

Briauna enjoyed eating the pepperoni instead of using it to put on the pizza.

The final results. They also got to see it cook and come out of the oven.

I had to take the cheese off her pizza but she didn't seem to mind.

Football

Lance is probably the most athletic kid in our family so far but it is so hard to get him to try anything new. He has played football before but Garrett was with him so he was not scared. There is a league near us and I thought he would enjoy it so I took him to a free camp to see what it was like. He was very grouchy at first but quickly enjoyed it and wanted to sign up to play. Practice started last week and we have to go every night for the first two weeks. He is enjoying it but is very shy still. I know he will enjoy it once he knows more what to do and who eveyone is. It is going to be a fun but busy fall.

It's Pre-school Time

The day finally arrived that Jenna got to start pre-school. She is attending at a school in our school district as a mentor. I took her in last May to get her tested for the program. They check for any developmental delays. Lance and Caleb both attended for speech. She had no delays and they thought she would be a great mentor. They take 1 per class so we feel very blessed to get one of the slots. She will be going everyday but Wednesday from 12:30 - 3:00. She has been counting down since we got the call from Mr. Jonathan(her teacher) last May. She woke up and was so excited that today was the day. She wanted to get dressed and go right then. So all morning she kept asking if it was time. She did great when I dropped her off. She walked in put her backpack down and was ready to go. I had to call her back to give her a hug. I think she is going to have a great time.

She Loves to Flip

Jenna has discovered the bar on the swing set and loves playing and flipping on it. Everyday she gets a little more advertureous.

Cousin Blake

I love my nephew. He is almost 21yrs old and the oldest of the cousins. He is going to U of A for school but is up in Phoenix for the summer. We love when he is around. He is so good with all of his younger cousins. A few weeks ago he was playing outside with Briauna and Haylie after dinner on Sunday and I took this picture. It was so funny to watch this big guy playing with the little girls. The girls were having so much fun playing with Blake.

First Day of School

Another year begins. Time flies by so fast. I remember Garrett's first day. Now I have since done two more first days of school with Lance and Caleb. I think this day snuck up on us and as a result I had some not very happy children. Lance was very grumpy as you can see in the picture. We have a 7th, 5th, and 3rd grader. They all came home with smiles and said they had good days. They also thought that it was funny that I had "homework" to do. So another year begins and life will become very busy. They are growing too fast.
