Rockband

Last night we went to the Gardners house to hang out and have dinner. They got Wii Rockband for Christmas. My family loved it. It is quite addictiong and you have to keep playing so you can get a good score. This may be a game our family will get in the future.

Jenna and Brent did very well singing. They always got a high score.

In Loving Memory of my Mom

Pamela Elison Reeves
June 16, 1947 - February 10, 2010
Yesterday was my mom funeral. My mom was an amazing woman. She has taught me so much and has helped me become the person I am today. She has shown me and my family so much love and kindness. Our life will not be the same without her. I still have a hard time with the idea of her being gone. She has battled cancer for 17months and fought a good fight. The funeral was beautiful and so many friends old and new came to show support and pay tribute. I cannot even begin to express my great sadness for her loss. I know she is in a better place and no longer has so suffer but it is still hard. John and I made a video of pictures of her and it was so fun but also sad in seeing the great mom I no longer had the opportunity to be with. I am so grateful I was blessed with a wonderful mom and I look forward to seeing her again.

She loved my kids so much. She did so much for them.

My parents have been married almost 43years.
My mom will be greatly missed.

You know you have too many kids when.....

you leave one sleeping in the car all night. This morning I woke up and checked to see what kids were up and I was so surprised that Lance was up and had made his bed. I then go down stairs and he said,"thanks a lot mom." I had no idea what he was talking about and he then told me we left him in the car all night. We got home a little late and he was asleep. We woke him up and told him to go to bed but he didn't listen. After the 4th or 5th time I gave up. John and I stayed up a while and then went to bed. We did the normal bedroom routine and locked all the doors including the garage door. Lance got cold and woke up but everything was locked and we didn't hear him knock. He just went back to sleep in the car. He finally got Caleb to let him in this morning. When I woke up I was wondering how our dog got outside but Lance let her out of the garage. He was fine and thought it was funny. He really thought it was great that he got to pee outside. He figured that I would rather him pee outside instead in his pants in the car.

Sleeping Beauty

Yesterday Jenna and I got to attend a condensed version of Sleeping Beauty the ballet at Symphony Hall. I had never been and was excited to take her. It was fun but she is not ready for a full length ballet. She was also confused as to who Aurora was since it wasn't like the movie she has seen. She did enjoy it and thought the girls were so pretty in their dance outfits. We will definitely do it again.Jenna and Cami were so excited for the show to start.

Laveen Parade

Saturday we had the opportunity to participate in our town parade. Jenna's preschool class and Lance's football team both were walking. We thought it would be fun and were really excited. John and I also walked with the kids. Garrett and Caleb rode with our neighbors over to the parade on their bikes. Last year we rode with them and it was so fun but duty calls.

The planes were the signal to start the parade.
Garrett now trying to entertain himself while waiting.

Caleb and Broedy waiting for the parade to get closer.

Garrett hanging out with Raelyn and Myles during the parade.
Lance walked with his football association

The boys passed out fliers to get more boys involved in their football team.

Jenna and the whole group of parents getting the bikes and kids ready to march.

Jenna, Cami, and Addyson

Jenna rode her bike and wasn't sure what to think of everyone watching. As we got closer to people we knew she got embarrassed and nervous. All in all she had fun.

It was a fun time. There were a ton of participants. We walked about 3.5 miles total with getting to the meeting spot, walking the parade route, and getting back to the car. The kids were tired but I think they had fun.
