Her Gift

Jenna came home from school with a gift from a boy. This little boy her her best buddy at school. They love playing together and often sit by each other. I thought it was so cute. I helped her make a thank note for him. I guess this is just the beginning.

The Staple

Today was a fun day. I went on a walk with my friend in the morning and we stopped at a playground to let our girls play for a while. Briauna was climbing and having fun and then she fell. I went to get her and when I took my hand away from her head there was blood on my hand. I didn't even see her hit her head. I then looked and saw the gash. We packed up and walked home to go to the urgent care.

We got there pretty early so the wait was not long. The doctor suggested a staple instead of stitches. He didn't numb her at all. He just held the skin together and stapled her skin. She didn't really even cry. Her head is sore and she doesn't like laying on it. She is busy so I guess I am not surprised that this happened. She is a tough little girl.

Stampede Celebration

We had Lance's football banquete last night. It was a lot of fun. Lance of course loves the friends he made and enjoyed time to goof around. Lance waiting to get his trophy

The team

After the boys were done getting their trophies they went to the field at the school and had a football game. Lance came home with a black eye. He tried to tackle someone and got drug. I guess that is what happens when you play tackle football without pads on.
It was a great season and we all look forward to next year.

The Fight

My Caleb is such a goof ball. He loves to joke around and antagonize his siblings. I feel he does this because he is the youngest of the 3 boys. He is also very tough and can stand up for himself. My friend called me to tell me something her son had told her on their way home from school. The first thing she said was," Did you know Caleb got in a fight at school?" I said no and asked what happened. I guess the story goes that there is a new kid that had been bullying Caleb for a few days. He would hit him, trip him, and so on. They were in library when the fight happened. The boy kept slapping him in the face and then running off. Then when he tripped Caleb that drew the line. Caleb snapped and punched him in the stomach. My friend laughed and said," He picked on the wrong person. Caleb can defend himself just fine." The funniest part of this story was when the bully tried to tell on Caleb the library lady told him not to tattle and to sit down.

After I was done talking to her I asked Caleb what had happened. At first he tried to play it off as if he didn't know what I was talking about. Once I told him I knew and was not mad he told me the story. He grinned a little when he told me he punched him. Now I don't like him fighting but I am glad he will stand up for himself. I have since asked him if the boy has bothered him again and he said." No, he is nice to me now."

Humane Society Tour

Today we went to the Humane Society for a tour with some moms from church. It was a lot of fun. The girls really liked all the animals. The first stop was the horses. They used to have a program where troubled teens would care for them. Now they only have 2 horses and there are 2 more housed at the Humane Society for a rescue group.

They loved the cats

Braiuna loved the rabbit

She liked the puppy but when the big dogs barked she started crying.

Jenna also wasn't sure about the loud barking.

Stampede Bowl game against the Prescott Badgers

This weekend we went to Prescott for Lance's last game. It was a bowl game which is meant to be a lot of fun for the kids. We we fortunate enough to go up on Friday and stay at the Lowry's home. Lance's had to be at the field at 8:30am so we all were happy not to have to wake up as early as we would of needed down in Phoenix.

Lance and Garrett loved the big beds they were able to sleep in.

Briauna and Jenna slept with us in the king size bed. It was so huge compared to the queen we have.
The girls hung out and played with friends during the game. It was great.

Briauna and Jaylan
More game pictures.

Ready for kickoff

Lance is #44

We won by a lot. It was a fun last game.
The team getting snack after the game.

I think he is such a cute football player. He can't wait for next year. He told me to start saving my money. Pretty funny for a kid who did not want to play at the beginning of the season.
After the game we went to lunch with the team. It was crazy but a lot of fun.

Stampede playoff game

Lance's football team had a tough playoff game on Saturday. They lost but did great. This is the first time a team in out association has made the playoffs since it was organized 3 yrs ago. It was a big deal. They made it to the 2nd round. The field was fake grass but very neat to play on. It was a great effort and they will do great next year.
Jenna loved playing with the girls that came to the games.

Briauna just hanging out with grandma.

The team all got medals for being in the playoffs.
