A New Stage

We have reached the baby proofing stage with Briauna. Within the last month she has sat up by her self, crawled and pulled her self up. It is fun but has made my life busier. She sees so many tiny things and then they go into her mouth. She is getting fast and gets into many things. Her crawl is not the traditional crawl. She kind of uses one knee and pushes with the opposite foot. It is pretty funny to watch. Her crib is still in our room because Jenna loved to help her stop crying by climbing in the crib. I wanted to wait until Briauna could sit up on her own before moving her into Jenna's room. Well it is now time. When she wakes up she sees us and screams louder so we will get her. It is fun to see her discover new things and get excited when she makes it to the object she is after.

Swim and Dive

The boys are doing swim and dive team again this year. I love that it gives them something to do for 2 hrs in the morning Monday through Thursday. It is great exercise and and they have learned so much over the years. Because of these teams we are very busy. We have meets every Tuesday and Thursday nights. The boys always moan and groan at the beginning but they really do enjoy it. It just takes a few weeks to get used to swimming so much. Here are a few pictures at their meets.

The Tooth

We are house/pool sitting for our neighbors this summer. We went over on Saturday to make sure everything was good and went swimming. Well Garrett thought he should keep with the family tradition by breaking his front tooth on the bottom of the pool. When it happened he jumped out of the pool and ran into the house. I did not know what was going on until he can out crying and showed us. Needless to say I was pretty mad. The great guy John is reassured Garrett that it would be fine and showed him his front tooth that he broke as a kid. Garrett was really upset and was so afraid that he would get a silver tooth. We then told him of the many family members that we have that did the same thing. he kept saying that he looked like a freaking vampire. By Sunday he was fine and showed everyone what happened. Monday we took him in and it only took 1 1/2 hrs and it looks as if nothing happened at all.

Happy Fathers Day

Father's Day was a nice day. John didn't have meeting before church so we got to sleep in a little. The kids were excited for John to see his gifts and after church we went to my parents house to celebrate my mom's birthday and Father's Day. I am grateful to John for what a wonderful dad he is. My kids are so excited when he is around. He is fun, silly, patient and great with the kids and I love him for it. Thank you John for all you do for me and the kids. I also wanted to show off the tie John got. It took many tries but it turned out pretty cute. The website we got it from has so many neat thing on it, you should take a look http://www.fotoart.com/.

Games, Games and more Games

Lately we have played a lot of games with friends, our kids, etc. I used to hate games. John's family is very competitive and ruthless while playing games, so I am sure you can imagine how I felt just meeting his family and watching this style of playing games. It scared me. I am changing and now really enjoy playing. We played Sequence, Settlers, and Speed Scrabbler (thanks Meryhew's for teaching us) all this weekend. It fun as the kids get older and understand how to play these different games. It was fun and the kids love it.

Our Utah Visitors

Our friends from Utah came down for the weekend for a wedding and stayed with us. It was a lot of fun. We had not seen them in a couple of years so we were excited. The boys were so excited mainly because they have an 11 yr old daughter. We had many late nights and a house full of crazy kids.

The boys sitting on the back fence watching for them to come.

Having fun playing around together.

Jenna called Liberty "the big girl ". She really had fun with another girl around. Briauna enjoyed all the hold time she got.

Garrett and Liberty have known each other since they were 4yrs. Maybe someday Garrett will pass her in height.

We are glad they came and look forward to seeing them again. Thanks for coming Shane, Grace, and Liberty!

My Project

These are pictures Caleb took after I finished painting our downstairs bathroom. It was kind of a long process. I started a few weeks ago a finally decided to finish. I was tired of having a ladder and paint cans crowding the bathroom. We had friends come visit and so I decided to just get it done. I used leftover paint form other room and I love it. The boys were so funny excited and gave me an A+.

My Helpers

Jenna love to help lately especially with feeding Briauna. It is not always the cleanest option but she sure does have fun. Briauna does well but sometimes wants to eat faster that Jenna can feed her.

Since Summer started we have made 1 -2 days a week cleaning days. That day we do all the real cleaning work that no one seems to enjoy but we all need to do. So far the kids have all done great and have really helped. I think they really get the idea of all working together to get it done faster. I hope it can be something they will continue to do good with. It was fun to see they house so nice and know I did not do it all.

After all the cleaning we have done the playroom was actually playable so with that they have been in there alot. Garrett was keeping an eye on Briauna whiule I was painting and made sure she had planty to do.

The Fishing Trip

A few weekends ago John and the boys went on a camping/fishing trip. They went up to Prescott and were unable to find a camp site because they were all taken. Thank goodness for our John's AZ family who let them sleep at their home. They all had fun but didn't catch anything but a stick. They hope to go again and redeem themselves with a real fish.
