Here is a few things that the boys have been doing the last few days. Flying helicopters and making targets to shoot at. As if my house isn't loud enough already. You got to love boys and the crazy thing they do.

The Goatee
I had to post this picture to remember the goatee. John has never let his facial hair get this long. It all started because he didn't have a new razor to shave with so he would just shave the side of his face since it didn't hurt to bad. He told me if I wanted it shaved I had to get the new razors first. Then he kept getting complements and thought of keeping it. Well finally he couldn't stand it anymore so he was brave and shaved it off without a new razor.

No Cavities
Today we went to the dentist after about a year so I was a little scared as to what the news would be. But thankfully we had good news. No cavities!!! Jenna also went for the first time. She did great. We watched as the boys went and I told her what would happen. She sat very still but didn't like the taste or feel of the stuff they used to clean her teeth. She was so excited to get a new tooth brush. The dentist office was smart and everyone got a different color so there will be no confusion. I am so happy they all have healthy teeth.

My Little Police Patrol
With Briauna's milk/dairy issues we have to be very careful about her not eating anything dairy. Since the boys have been out of school they and Jenna have been great little policemen when it comes to what she eats. I was making cookies and I gave her one an they about freaked. Garrett and Caleb both informed me at different times that she couldn't have chocolate. I reassured them that the piece I gave her was ok. Then if we go somewhere and someone give Briauna a treat Jenna is quick to inform them she can have cheese or milk. I think it is so cute that they watch out for her even when I am the one giving her the food.
Almost Two
Briauna is almost two and we sure can tell. She has started throwing tantrums. It is so hard not laughing because they are so funny. She sometimes stomps her feet and runs off or she will yell and throw herself on the floor. One day she did this and the kids all started laughing. Kind of hard to teach her not to do it when everyone thinks it is so funny.
She has started telling me when she wants her diaper changed. Tonight she did this and while I was changing it she plugged her nose and said, " ewwh yuck. " Again I thought it was funny.
She is not much of a talker. Lance didn't talk until almost 3yrs so I am not too concerned but the last week she has probably doubled her words and is constantly trying to copy me. She can say mom, no, hi, bye, out, stop( she did this the first time when I was telling the boys to stop doing something, so now she can boss them around to) doggie, shoes, ouch, and yuck. It is fun to see the older kids enjoy watching her do new things.

I Want Daddy
Last night John and I had a cute conversation with Jenna that I wanted to remember. I love her innocence and the love she has for her daddy.
Jenna: I don't want to grow up and have kids.
Me: Why not?
Jenna: I don't know how to find (pointed to John)
Me: You don't think you can find a husband.
Jenna: Yes
Me: Oh, Jenna you will be able to find a husband when you get big and he will be very nice.
Jenna: But I want daddy.
John: Well you can have me Jenna but do you think mom will let you?
Jenna: (smiled) No
Me: He's mine.
Jenna: No, he's mine.
John: I will always be your dad.

A Post about Girl Things
Here are some more dance pictures. I can't help taking them. It is so cute watching her learn new things and they are so cute to watch. I made the mistake trying to help her and then she wanted me to stay with her the whole time. Next week I am not going to even let her know I am watching so she will do it on her own.
Jenna enjoyed this class because she had her neighbor friends come with her. She enjoyed showing what to do.
If you look close you can see redness on Jenna's cheek that is a circle shape. Briauna bit her. It was quite dramatic. Jenna was screaming and at first Briauna thought it was funny. Then I put Briauna in the corner and told her NO and she was also started wailing and crying with huge tears. You would of thought she was the one who got bit. Caleb was a biter, it was his mode of defence against his brothers. Hopefully we can break Briauna of it. I don't want to deal with another biting child.

The Aquatic Center
We went to the aquatic center today and had a lot of fun. The water was freezing but that did not stop the kids. There was several friends from church there so that made it even more fun. It is a great place for us to go because the boys can go off any play and there is also a place for the girls to have fun. It also is very inexpensive to take the whole family where everyone will have fun.

The Hand Grenade
Garrett got this great book for his birthday that has experiments, magic tricks, and all sort of things boys like in it. Since summer school has been out he is in the mode to do and create things. Usually I let John do this kind of stuff with him. He was being inpatient so I read to make sure he wouldn't start anything on fire of blow something up before he did it. This is the hand grenade experiment.
Tres Rios Wetlands
Today I took the kids with a friends and her kids to the Tres Rios Wetlands. It was pretty neat. I had no idea it was so big. It was pretty hot but the kids loved running around looking for lizards, bugs, and animals. It is kind of sad that I have live in AZ my whole life and didn't know this place existed. I found out about it from a friend at church who isn't even from AZ. I am glad we know about it and I will defiantly go again in the fall.

Stories
Today we went to my mom's house to visit and go swimming. While Jenna and Caleb were playing I heard Jenna getting all upset about the story Caleb told her. She did not like that it didn't have a happy ending. So she made up her own story. It is funny to compare a boy's story to a girl's story.
Caleb's Story: Once there was a girl named Jenna and she went on a boat. She didn't know the boat was a submarine. The submarine went under the water and she died.
Jenna's Story: There were 4 girls that went on a boat and there names were Raelyn, Morgan, Shelby, and me. When the boat went under the water Shelby couldn't swim so Morgan, Raelyn and me help her get to the top and they made it home and were happy.

The First Diaper
Yesterday I went shopping and left Garrett home to babysit. Briauna was sleeping so I knew I had a few hours. On my way home I called to check and see how things were and this was the conversation:
Me: Garrett, how are things?
Garrett: Briauna is awake.
Me: How is she?
Garrett: Fine, I changed her diaper.
Me: How did you do?
Garrett: I didn't get poop on anything.
Me: Oh (laughing) that's good. Did anyone help you?
Garrett: No, the diaper is on.
Me: I guess you have seen me do it enough to know how.
Garrett: Yes I have and now that I can change a diaper you can start paying me when I babysit.
We told him when he can change a diaper we can let him babysit for longer periods and pay him on special occasions. I guess he felt it was a good time to try. I am so proud of him for not making her sit in a messy diaper until I got home since he has done it in the past. That was a tough way to learn to change a diaper.

Fancy Nancy
Fancy Nancy is a story book character. She is a girl who loves anything fancy. Jenna has some of the books and dress up clothes. She got to go to a Fancy Nancy birthday party on Saturday. She was so excited. She took a long time trying to decided what fancy outfit she was going to wear. She had so much fun and got to make a tiara and got her nails painted. She came home with a boa, wand, and fan. It was so funny watching her walk around being fancy and asking her brothers if they liked her outfit. I love girls.
