Camping at Stoneman Lake

We went camping this weekend at Stoneman Lake with our friends the Bedfords. I am not a big camper but thought it might be fun. We left Thursday at around 3:30pm and headed up north.

We went on a hike to look around.

Briauna got the best seat, a ride from dad.

The boys had fun playing Frisbee, sharks and minnows, and playing a game they made up called guns. They spent hours playing and the rule was they had to see the camper. It was great and they had a blast.

Briauna was not a fan of the dirt. She wouldn't touch it with her hands.

Jenna is also not a fan of dirt. She carried around hand sanitizer to make sure everyone had nice clean hands.

The girls got the swimsuits on just in case it rained. It did end up raining but for only 30 minutes and it was almost dark. The didn't even get to get wet.

The had fun getting wood for the fire.

The guys of course had fun making the fire.

She loved the trucks as long as her hands didn't touch the dirt.

The guys playing games under the tarp. It had just stopped raining.

The girls were nice and clean and hung out watching a movie.

Briauna was not quite ready for bed so she hung out by the fire with mom and dad.

Alina was so good and just followed us around. She loved laying right by the fire.

John is a bit of a pyro and enjoyed using our pump from the air mattress to fan the flame.

She is ready for the day.

We are headed to visit Mormon Lake and see what it is like.

This is the cutest little town. I loved it.

Here is Mormon Lake. It is really a swamp.

They had Bison and a petting zoo.

Briauna kept chasing around the goat calling it a doggie.

The kids played on a playground for a while and we had a picnic.

We found out they were having a parade and fireworks so we decided to stay and watch.

This boys does not know how to be serious for a picture.

For the parade they had all the towns people and the campers decorate there cars, rhinos, ATV, bikes, etc. for the parade. It was so fun. I am glad we came to check this little place out.

They threw tons of candy and of course the kids loved it. It was just like Halloween.

After the parade we headed up towards Flagstaff and saw Lake Mary. It started to lightening or else we would of stopped to swim.

The kids playing in the field waiting for the fireworks to start.

The whole crew.

Briauna loved them and kept saying WOW.

We were creative in how we watched the fireworks. When we left they actually had a policeman directing traffic for all of us to leave. It was neat to see everyone head back to their campsites. I had no idea all the places there was to camp.

Garrett enjoying one last climb before heading home.

Our home for three days.

Doncha just love camping with kids? I love it. Please don't ever tell my hubby about the air mattress compressor thing and the fire--he would SO enjoy that. Why are men such pyros?! By the way, it's great to see you in some of these pictures!

That looks like such a fun trip. I wish Steve liked to camp.
